Set in present-day, gritty Chicago, The Bear felt like a homecoming, bringing me back to my Pittsburgh roots. The Production Designer aimed for a divey, almost '90s vibe. I suggested the corrugated metal blank sign for the exterior outrigger, setting the perfect tone for the restaurant's atmosphere. I also had a bit of fun creating a pig illustration that encouraged patrons to "eat beef and drink beer”. It was all about creating an atmosphere that felt raw, real, and just a little rough around the edges.
